Tyranna
It was a dive anyway. No loss at all to Sheffields 'night life'. At one time about 3-4 years ago, it was fairly friendly; quite a few of Dempseys regulars went there from time to time, but even then it wasnt anything to write home about. One good thing at present is that the small car-park it shares with Dempseys and the few nearby shops is exclusively available for Dempseys patrons during evenings; handy for some of the special nights at Dempseys if you have a Designated Driver who doesent drink. sedith
Used to go in years ago when it was the Wetstone. So did I, in fact I worked in there from when it first opened, stayed about 4yrs working for Tom and Eileen Walsh. Shame its closed, but after a recent visit under the Moorfoot Tavern name, I'm not surprised, full of drunks, it was nothing like the old Whetstone
Doom
Nobody wanted it so he purchased it for 250 k and spending another 200 k to do it up If we fancy a few tapas on a Friday or Saturday night we tend to go to El Paso, so I'm quite happy to hear this. I've not been in Moorfoot pub for years, so no loss as far as I'm concerned, it's too far away from any other pubs to make it part of a night out. Bypassblade
If it's the same clientele who used to frequent Castle Market, then El Paso will do well. A cheap, dirty and poor restaurant with bad mannered staff and bland food. Does it cover many people in one stroke, that brush you use for tarring?
