tranceducer
Rents have shot up mines nearly 70 quid from where it was 45 pounds. Rents are going up really high in the Northern Areas. In the southern areas everyone is a property Millionaire. Its impossible to find a three bedroom home for less then three hundred thousand pounds. It just sounds and looks like somethings gonna happen. and with what George Osbornes done I think this country might not what it used to be. Something needs to be done and quickly about both things. altus
That is the result of having all these years of tory government from around the late 70s up until today. Although they haven't been as bad at it as the Tories, Labour have encouraged hyperinflation in the housing market as well - particularly during the Blair years. It's a pity the Ipsos Mori poll linked to didn't ask whether people think falling house prices would be good for the country.

Yes but Blair wasn't Labour neither was Gorgon Brown, what did Blair/brown do for the working class, they're Tories through and through?

Less of the no true Scotsman fallacy - they were still leaders of the Labour party and voted in to power by Labour voters.
