Halibut
Just as I thought, you would fix him and then let him rejoin the fight, and once again target our troops as well as innocent civilians. Good plan if you support the terrorists. The guy was mortally wounded. He wasn't going anywhere. Answer BF's question there's a good chap.

Good plan if you support the terrorists. So in your world you believe that there are only two choices of what to do when you capture enemy combatants/terrorists. Shoot them or set them free? tinfoilhat
So in your world you believe that there are only two choices of what to do when you capture enemy combatants/terrorists. Shoot them or set them free? Don't we fix them up and imprison them? Like we have done since the year dot? Admittedly the crafty Taliban organise the odd jail break but the premise is sound. angos
Ok, so had Marine A been captured by the Taliban you'd have had no grievance with them if they'd executed him? They would execute him, and our troops know that if caught they will very likely be executed, its war not a came of soccer. boyfriday
And what would you have done with him if he survived and made a full recovery. You're more and more sounding like the Islamists you detest, never was the saying 'two sides of the same coin' more appropriate.

How long for and were? most of this lot complaining about this shooting were also complaining about prisoners being detained in Guantanamo Bay detention camp. boyfriday
So what would you have done with him? You're unfamiliar with the term 'prisoner of war'?
angos
And to answer the question I asked you, would you support that outcome? I wouldn't expect his superiors to charge him with murder and lock him up.
