tzijlstra Posted December 3, 2013 Share Posted December 3, 2013 This is beginning to sound a lot like the Dutch obsession with ice. To make a long story short: The Frisians have an ice-skating tour through the eleven cities, it was a semi-regular event (every three or four years or so) but has only happened in 1997 for the last time, so we are due another big freeze. Problem is that the national media are now obsessed with it and keep claiming it might happen. The Frisians don't give a donkeys, if it happens, it happens, but now all the other Dutch folk are getting more excited than we are each time it freezes a degree or so.
