Are you worried about your child..

Recommended Posts

Are you worried about your child looking at porn? Maybe you have found them looking at explicit websites or you're concerned about their sexual behaviour?

Claims on itv this morning that a 10 year old boy raped an 7 year old girl after watching sexual scenes

In my opinion computers need parental guidence always

If that is the case, then the boy was damaged goods from the start.

I mean seriously, shouldn't he have been watching Pokemon cartoons or something else at that age? I was still playing with Lego at 10 years old...

But now, it only takes an average of 3 clicks to find some explicit content on the web...

and if a young child sees something they are not sure what it is (an image of a female, nude or partially) - at that age (10+) you are curious, and would click it...

then it leads to who knows where....

From there, it's only learning and experimentation to the 10 y/o (they probably won't have been told about rape, and how bad it is, since they won't even know what sex is, or what they saw online etc..)

I'm sure it does if you're actively looking for it, but could you find it in three clicks by accident?

I don't agree 100%... as a kid, I'd have asked parents or teachers about something I wasn't sure of, that's what they're there for, right?

Again, I don't fully agree.

I'm sure that most 10 years old boys have played for more shooting / killing games than have wtched porn, but you don't get 10 year old boys shooting each other in the streets.

I would not be surprised to read that the boy was a damaged child from a broken home... I'm not for one second excusing his actions, but I don't think it's case of "he saw some naked girls one day on the internet, then the next day he sexually assaulted a young girl"

I think you will find that a penis is more easily found than a gun.

It makes you wonder, but I suppose like you say if you know what to look for it does

I agree totally, I always thought that's what teachers & parents were for

I have to say that I hate the term "broken home", my mum & real "dad" split up years ago and mum remarried. I turned out okay as did my 3 brothers and we all held work all our lives, sadly my eldest bro is no longer with us. I just think the broken home is too easy a term to use, I mean look at Wills & Harry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
