It' be interesting to see what proportion of total tax they pay though.. I would think it's quite a high percentage...
Uptowngirl
They pay 30% of all income tax, which is a different matter from all tax. So who do you think pays the most VAT? Would that be someone who has a disposable income of £15 per year and eats at McDonalds once a month or someone with a disposable income of £3,000,000 and dines at Claridges every lunchtime? And who puts the biggest load on the welfare state? Would that be someone who uses the NHS and sends his kids to state schools, or someone who uses private medicine in Harley Street and sends his kids to Eton, despite paying NI for both? LeMaquis
He should join UKIP, they favour academic selection for schools. He'd rather get elected. ---------- Post added 28-11-2013 at 20:48 ---------- Boris also said success is related to IQ. Stating the bleeding obvious really. IQ, inherited wealth and privilege, old boys brigade, masonic links, old school tie and other facets of an equal chance for all. ---------- Post added 28-11-2013 at 20:51 ---------- ... the loans were created for pc reasons.... The loans were created by banks lending as much as they could to maximise profits. ---------- Post added 28-11-2013 at 20:53 ---------- And who puts the biggest load on the welfare state? Anyone who can afford to send his kids to Eton and use Harley Street probably doesn't merit much sympathy for his lot in life.

You haven't heard his speech. Or chosen to ignore it to make mischief. His suggestion was that we need to bring selection back into schools so that the poor clever children had as much chance in life as the wealthy. It is the opposite of what you are spinning
