With the gorgeously deep and resonant tones of DJ Sprinkles still reverberating through our collective frame, we thought what better way to maintain such feelings than to invite an artist who also provides a similarly whimsical dancefloor experience to BM.

Welcome Berlin-based Heatsick. A human and a Casio keyboard - a simple unification that is a testament to the creativity found in simply limiting one's tools. Over the last few years, Steven Warwick has crafted a handful of releases which have swiftly brushed aside the priority for over-produced insubstantial dance music in favour of probing questions of socio-political importance through the medium of shaking-thine-ass.

His debut album 'Intersex' on PAN converted his ideas of gender and sex as something which is in a constantly shifting state of flux into an equally cerebral yet propulsive body music which has proven to shuffle feet as much as it tantalises neurones. Other releases on Rush Hour & Not Not Fun have all helped reinforce Heatsick in the collective consciousness as one of the most singular artists working in underground music.

Live; Heatsick, is a sight to behold - crafting anticipatory build-ups that often lead into the ether rather than where an audience is urging them to go, using what would on the face of it would be considered a 'child's keyboard with most of the keys missing'. Think a frustrated Ron Hardy playing Kraftwerk on your classroom keyboard in year 4, yet somehow his music elevates above this crass analogy to make something quite wonderful.

As you can tell, we're pretty excited.

Lights/lasers/smiles/residents Sayid Silkhands & Braxton Hicks will all be in place to deliver a night of heady celebration and merriment.

Kicking off around midnight at The Audacious Art Space, S2 4SE, £5 OTD.
