Yorkie folk

Flat cap, pigeon’s Yorkshire pudding, me’at and tatty pie

Describes us folk from up north I wonder why

Wit dog and stick and cap on head

We walk through fields that’s me and Fred

We get t pub and order a jar

And sit outside or int bar

We may have walked through fields afar

And seen odd tractor bike and car

It makes no care type of day

As we merrily go about our way

Old lass at home well she’s a winner

Cos when I get home on't table will be dinner

Mug o tea chuck coal on't fire

Telly slippers lots to admire

Us simple folk with is simple life

Wit dog and cap and faithful wife.
