snakeheadblu Posted December 14, 2013 Share Posted December 14, 2013 When I flush my toilet , it leaks from 2 screws on the bottom . Looks like the silicone has perished on inside of cistern . *Wallace* Posted December 14, 2013 Share Posted December 14, 2013 You can't,take the top off and remove the water from cistern with a jug or similar,undo the valve and replace the silicon tape and tighten up but don't over tighten,you could replace the entire valve with a new silent one from B&Q they are £9:95,did mine last week takes about half an hour. Micky ET Posted December 14, 2013 Share Posted December 14, 2013 the nuts you refer to are the close coupling bolts attached to a plate, below those is a donut washer these are about £2.40 in B&Q, they will also have a how to sheet in store or online.
