Liverpool could really win the Premier League this year!

I think its starting to look that they were a one man team last year.

Sturridge being injured won't help either.

I definitely think last year was their one chance since 08-09 to win it. Maybe they'll have to wait another 7 years to finish plucky runners up.

They will miss him loads, his energy is a massive miss (compare this to his replacement in Mario) never mind his goals.

That said, Saturday was a great example as to why they won't make the top 4.

Sterling was rested for the Champs League and they missed him.

Their squad in depth is not good, and the fans won't allow them to just roll over in the Champs League (their performance last night wasn't inspiring either) .

Europa league next year I'm afraid.

  • 2 months later...

really they have lost x2 players

Suarez and sturridge injury and trying to replace them with lower class players

that's the main difference from last season

cant understand why play Brad Jones HE WAS RHUBARB WHEN HE WAS AT OWLS AND NEVER IMPROVED ,HE COST'S GOALS ALONE

I remember 30 odd years ago when I supported St.Johnstone.

They had the best two strikers in Scotland bar none in Ally McCoist and John Brogan.

They were unbeatable. Within a few years both were gone and they went on the steepest downhill slope.

So yes,two genuine quality strikers makes a massive difference.

With Barcelona having a front three of Neymar,Suarez and Messi it looks likely they will win the Champions League.

Same thing with Blackburn Rovers and Alan Shearer.

Yes, "the club" won the title, but Alan won it for them really.

They dropped through the leagues after he left.
