RootsBooster Posted December 16, 2013 Share Posted December 16, 2013 I love real fires, it is number one on the criterium list for when we choose a cottage to go on holiday Well, I built the faux chimney breast around the existing flue that goes straight out of the wall from the previous gas fire. We have an electric fire there now. Not sure about chimneys but I'm led to believe you could have a piped chimney within a (fireproof) faux breast that goes out through the wall at 90 degrees.
