Breakage

Breakage aka James Boyle is never been one to be pigeonholed. Moving effortlessly through styles from drum and bass to dubstep, Breakage has proved himself to be one of the most versatile operators in either scene to date. Never afraid to make an impact, he burst onto the drum and bass scene back in 2000, announcing his arrival with a raucous remix of a hardcore classic, Nasty Habit’s ‘Here Come the Drums’ on Reinforced. He backed this up with a series of EPs for the legendary label, proving he was no young pretender. Breakage was at the forefront of a new wave of breakbeat scientists bringing a percussive sound back to drum and bass at a time when the scene seemed to have forgotten it’s jungle roots.

Breakage continued his good form dropping a number of sought after releases for the Inperspective label, his remix of Equinox’s ‘Acid Rain’ twisted the Amen break to new levels and served as a rallying call for producers looking to bring back the original drum and bass sound. Further releases came on labels including Critical and Scientific Wax, before his debut album release in 2006 ‘This To Shall Pass’ gained wide spread critical acclaim and included some slower tempo material, hinting at what was to come.

James signed with Shy FX’s mighty Digital Soundboy imprint in 2007, and soon turned heads with the haunting half- time beats of ‘Clarendon b/w Shroud.’ He also made waves in the dubstep community with his next release, ‘Callahan b/w Untitled,’ after having remixed one of the scene’s biggest tracks to date, Benga & Coki’s ‘Night,’ alongside Shy FX as Digital Soundboy.

dBridge

A veteran producer and one of the most experienced artists in drum & bass, Darren White aka dBridge is an artist whose multiple transformations and evolutions glide through a staggering list of achievements. Over the course of a long and distinguished career, he has been at the heart of some the most exciting collaborative partnerships drum & bass has ever seen from Future Forces to Bad Company and most recently, Club Autonomic. dBridge has also recently devoted a large amount of focus to his label Exit Records with the Mosaic compilation, multiple ground breaking singles, and artist LPs as he continues to be a mentor to the new breed of producers inspired by his career. As a solo artist, dBridge remains versatile with his own productions for Exit, Metalheadz, Reinforced, Hotflush, and more.

Skeptical

Skeptical took to the decks in the late 90’s as a teenager and has since played right across the board, from the UK to across the world. With so much passion for music Skeptical got on the production tip to take his musical pleasures to different heights and has seen his tracks land in record bags of some of the top DJ’s within the Drum and Bass scene. His tracks have been signed by what some would say the most respected labels in the scene, such as Exit Records, Critical, Commercial Suicide, 31 Records, Dispatch, Ingredients, Renegade Hardware, Broken Audio. With a healthy DJ schedule and a list of forthcoming releases, keep an ear out for this guy the future is shaping up to be a good one.

Xtrah

24 year old Londoner Yasin Elgohary (aka) XTRAH caused a stir throughout 2011 starting with his releases on the legendary 'RamRecords' and being featured on 'Goldie's 'FabricLive58' CD in the first half of 2011, also signing tunes such as 'Hubble' and 'Arise' to 'SubtitlesUK' and 'Cyrax' to Break's home imprint 'Symmetry'. 2012 saw 'Xtrah' appearing on the likes of 'SubtitlesUK', 'Critical Music' and more! plus a few remixes for other well known names in the drum and bass scene and some interesting collaborations. The talent of this young individual has seen him gaining heavy DJ support from the likes of Andy C, Friction, Hype, Goldie, Calyx & Teebee to name just a few.

Dark Harmonics

Sheffield born and bred, the Dark Harmonics have been pushing the Dubstep scene for a number of years now. What with a residency at Roots and appearances in venues all over Sheffield, these guys are the perfect Candidates to open the main room. If you are a fan of the deep and moody 140bpm sound then get down early to see what they have to offer.

Displace Crew

The Displace DJ's have been mixing together for four years now and have been pushing the darker side of the drum and bass scene in Sheffield for two of them. They have brought names like Marcus Intalex, Commix, Jubei, Alix Perez, Stray and Gerra & Stone to the city and regularly appear at some of Sheffield's largest events including; The Tuesday club, Detonate, Tramlines & Roots.

Rave Cave

We have put together a line-up consisting of some of Sheffield's promotion's finest resident DJs. Music in the room will vary from House to Garage to Reggae to Jungle just to constantly keep you guessing!!
