angos
i dont get the link to immigration, you said most of those in trouble ARE working, so immigrants arent stopping people finding work. what IS a cause is greedy firms and those that allow them to get away with paying what in effect ISNT enough to live on Working with a low wage, employers can get away with paying a lower when there is an over supply of workers. An high percentage of income is spent on accommodation, increasing the population, without increasing the housing stock, increased competition for housing combined with low interest rates forces prices inevitably higher. The population increased because of immigration, so low wages and high housing cost are because of immigration.

Super Hans
If the 'working' classes spent less of their money on cigarettes and alcohol and spent less of their time watching their large flat-screen televisions there would be no need for food banks. I completely agree with everything in this post. If you smoke, you're an idiot...especially if you're struggling to feed yourself.

Exactly. It's about time something was done about these feckless cretins. They are a strong case for sterilisation.

Our economic system needs unemployed poor people, if we create too many jobs for the available workforce, wage will rise and inflation will followl, so to keep things in check the workforce as to increase at the same rate as job creation, hence high immigration. The higher the supply of workers the lower the demand for any particular persons labour is, hence low wages. Wages would be substantially higher were it not for the unfettered immigration we have had in the last decade. ---------- Post added 21-12-2013 at 11:47 ---------- theres always a supply theres always a demand, theres also always been exploitation of the working classes by greedy ruling classes and bosses and always will be, immigration or no immigration Immigration makes it easier to exploit people.
