Its is also a fact that many people claimed Muslims were exploiting a loophole which allowed them to use their house as a place of worship to avoid paying council tax. This is also fact.

Nick Griffins constituency office investigated the claims in 2011 and found no truth in the claims that Muslims were exploiting the system. This is also a fact.

Therefor you claim that the facts I posted are not true, is nonsense.

Go back to school.

Thank you for accepting the error you made.

All residential properties become liable for Council Tax.

Non-residential Properties (including Places of Worship) are not "exempted" from Council Tax.

They are simply not liable for it in the first place.

They become liable for the possible levy of Business Rates and Registered Places of Worship can claim exemption from such rates .... NOT exemption from Council Tax.

Let me give an example ... I am not "exempt from" paying Registration Fees to the Royal College of Nursing.

I simply don't have to pay them because I do not fall into any category that requires me to do so.

I don't think I claimed they were.

If it takes a financial deal to get people to knock heads together rather blowing each others brains out then fine, let them get on with it, it sits well enough with me. If you want to kill or make friends over finance then at least it's based on something tangible. Unlike religion which isn't.

So at what point did you think they would be blowing each others brains out?

Residential properties converted to a place of worship would become exempt from council tax, it would also be exempt from business rates which makes my statement correct and your claim that it was incorrect, incorrect.

Jamia Mosque Committee (Darnall, Sheffield, South Yorkshire)

214 Darnall Road, Darnall, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

This is a house on Google Images, I wonder why its claimed to be a Mosque when it clearly is not if you look at it.

Maybe there is some truth in it, I'm going to look to see if my alter in the back bedroom offers any benefits via a tax relief :)

It would no longer be liable for Council Tax.

So an house that used to pay council tax would be exempt (free from liability) from council tax if it converted to a church.

Definition Exempt: free from an obligation or liability

Which makes my statement correct and your statement incorrect.
