SnailyBoy
Pope Francis is the Time Man of the Year 2013 http://poy.time.com/2013/12/11/person-of-the-year-pope-francis-the-peoples-pope/?iid=poy-main-lead Should he really only be considered to have achieved anything until he 1. Gives up the paedophile priests for investigation and potential prosecution with the relevant authorities. 2. Allows women the right to control their own bodies. 3. Advocates the use of condoms to prevent Aids. 4. Equal rights for homosexuals.

wornout53
He may not have achieved all that you would like him to achieve but he has been a breath of fresh air through the Vatican and the catholic church in general. Given time who knows what he will bring about.
Jmack
I don't think you can deny that Pope Francis has made an impact on the world whether you believe it's good or bad. Personally I think Putin should have been given it, stopped the West intervening in Syria also gave a passport to Edward Snowden much to the Americans annoyance. ---------- Post added 21-12-2013 at 13:16 ---------- The list is based on the impact on the world good or bad. Then why would you object to Pope Francis been named of the man of the year, if it's for good or bad then surely the list of things you laid out would be no object.
