Since the West Bank never belonged to Jordon, it can't be described as occupied territory and the Geneva convention doesn't apply. Which country do you think it belongs to? melthebell Posted December 26, 2013 Share Posted December 26, 2013 It's on their side of the armistice line isn't it? dunno, neither the text or the video in the op mentions it, but both DO mention its illegal under international law The United Nations and most countries regard the Israeli settlements as illegal because the territories were captured by Israel in a war in 1967 and are hence subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbids construction on occupied lands thinking about it, wouldnt what were doing in iraq and afganistan be classed as "construction on occupied lands"?
