Jon26
Hi I'm making a strop to use to sharpen chisels and knives after using an oilstone. I've got a piece of leather and wood. I'm wondering which is the best sort of glue to use, I don't want to harden the leather. Any ideas? Thanks

I presume you're going to use jewellers rouge?
Super Hans
I bought a 10 pack of super glue from B&M in town and I've used it for all sorts. Right now I'm drinking out of a mug who's handle I stuck back on, been a few weeks and still going strong.

yellowperil
Superglue will definately harden the leather and youll see smoke rising from it as you put it on the back as a chemical reaction takes place. Evostick as mentioned or polystyrene cement should do it. Evostick would be better id think.

boyfriday
What's jewellers rouge please? It's the red face they get when they charge Tiffany's prices for Ratners diamonds.
