CARL HUTCHINSON

Carl was runner up in the Sheffield Comedy Festival First Laugh Competition in 2009 and since then has go on to be one of the rising star of UK comedy.

Though he may be young, there’s no skinny jeans or fancy hair for this young lad, just great material delivered in a superb dry deadpan style.

Carl is currently supporting Chris Ramsey on his national tour.

“Effortlessly hilarious. He captivates the audience with his perfectly timed suspenseful silences and plain-talking sense-making.” Three Weeks

“His act was very dry but immensely sharp with an underlying energy which wasn’t obviously rehearsed like many others I have seen on the circuit.” Weekend Post

“His tone and manner was very funny as he was almost argumentative.” BBC Comedy

DALISO CHAPONDA

Daliso began his comedy career in Canada with the acclaimed one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. Following this, he began honing his craft in comedy clubs across Canada. Highlights included appearing on the Trans Canada Comedy Trail TV show, the 2005 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and the one man show 'Don't Let Them Deport Me'.

Since then he has performed in Singapore, Australia, Jordan, and many more countries. In 2011 Daliso Chaponda grew frustrated with the fact that he was better known outside Africa than in Africa so he began a tour called 'Laughrica'. He launched this one man show in Lilongwe, Malawi and followed it up with appearances in Zimbabwe, Nigeria and South Africa.

Daliso has also performed at shows in South East Asia in countries such as Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

Daliso also continues to dominate the African comedy scene. He recently performed in front of over two thousand people at the Stand-Up Africa concert in Johannesburg, South Africa as well as also recently performing at the sell-out Presidents Of Laughrica shows in Malawi.

In addition to stand-up comedy, Daliso has also published science fiction, murder mysteries, erotica, literary fiction, religious fiction and fantasy fiction in numerous magazines and anthologies. In 2002 he was a finalist in the L. Ron Hubbard Writer’s of the Future Contest and in 2006 he was short listed for the Carl Brandon Society Award.
