  1. 1. Who will you vote for in the next general election?

Here's the actual question (and result):

So nobody was asked whether we should leave the EU.

And I wouldn't exactly class the question as non-biased. And even then, only just over 50% supported the premise.

"as opposed to 22.2% thought Britain should remain a member of the EU."

What do you think the others were thinking of.

Here's the question...

“With this in mind, which would you prefer the UK to be a member of?”

Not, "Would you want to leave the EU, and all the benefits that membership gives, for an uncertain future in the EFTA?", or even "Do you want to stay in the EU?".

It's a highly biased question, with somewhat suspect analysis. It would be silly to draw any sort of conclusion about what any of the respondents were thinking when they made their choice.

Which is what you are doing here,

Not, "Would you want to leave the EU, and all the benefits that membership gives, for an uncertain future in the EFTA?",

22.2% thought Britain should remain in the EU, suggests the rest don't, unless you can put any more spin on it.

No, 22.2% thought Britain would be better off in the EU.

54.3% thought Britain would be better off in the EFTA.

Only a tabloid headline writer would then take that to mean 71% of Brits want to leave the EU.

Actually, he is spot on. Gosh research is hard isn't it?

Let me rephrase the question so we get a 100% pro-EU vote:

If you had to choose between being in the EU or seeing your family obliterated through nuclear war, which would you prefer?

To be fair, I think that some on here would take the second option. :hihi:

I can't help that they don't like their family :(

What was the old cold war slogan in reference to the potential nuclear blackmail from the USSR. Better dead than red. I'd bet that a few little Englanders would feel the same way about the EU.
