and not a peep out of anybody when the man who really WAS responsible for Sabra and Chatila - not Sharon, but Elie Hobeika, was assassinated 12 years ago. I doubt if any of this lot have even heard of him.

 

and does anybody think that Sabra and Shatila was the only time Palestinians got massacred or otherwise shafted during the Lebanese civil war? I bet this lot do, because they never said anything during the numerous massacres of Palestinians that took place during The War of the Camps, purely because they can't pin any blame on the Israelis, who were not even indirectly involved that time, as they were indirectly involved in Sabra and Shatila. You can also bet that this lot, who feign support for the Palestinians, have never heard not only of Elie Hobeika, but of the War of the Camps, in which the Palestinians were also the primary victims.

 

fast forward a few years past Sabra and Shatila to another Palestinian camp in Lebanon. The camp was surrounded by tanks and artillery that fired indiscriminately at the inhabitants. Snipers backed up this fire. The camp’s water and electricity supplies were cut off. Thousands of innocent Palestinians were forced to flee but not before many had been killed and dozens injured. The camp itself was reduced to rubble. Ultimately, the fighting killed more than 1000 people and forced nearly 40,000 Palestinian refugees to flee.

 

This time, unlike Sabra and Shatila, there was next to no coverage in the British media. Nobody, such as the Palestine Solidarity Group up in Dundee, who normally claim to support the Palestinians so vociferously, made so much as a whimper about it. There was no talk of 'genocide' ,'massacre', or 'ethnic cleansing'. Rather than condemning the attack, the EU and UN were quick to express their support to the army. Even the Arab League came out in support. So what had changed? You guessed it, this time the army dealing with the camp, and the Palestinians that lived in it, was not the Israeli army but the Lebanese one.

 

this lot aren't alone with the crocodile tears when it comes to the Palestinians. They don't give a rat's ass about the Palestinians, because if they did they would protest, rather than keeping silent, when the Palestinians are massacred and mistreated by other Arabs like the Phalangists and the Lebanese army.

 

they only feign concern for the Palestinians, who they don't in actual fact care about, at all, to enable them get on with doing what they really want to do - bashing Israel, and the Jews.
