Peace in the Park Fundraiser @ Riverside 21/02/2014 with Renegade BB!

2013 was a great year for Sheffield in many respects, something was certainly missing though. Due to lack of funds, Peace in the Park unfortunately had to cancel the show for the first time in its 10 year existence. In order to ensure that this doesn't happen again, we're throwing a fundraiser down at one of our favourite watering-holes-turned-live-music-venues; The Riverside! And what a line up we have in store for you!

 

RENEGADE BRASS BAND

Big brassy hip-hop explosion which includes drums, turntables, a whole heap of horn players and a fantastic master of ceremonies. A permanent fixture on the Peace In The Park line ups of yesteryear, it will be fantastic to have their sounds blasting away in the Riverside.

 

BALKAN BANDITS

Sheffield's brass, cabaret, and wailing troupe of troubadours are popping out for a rare performance. They guarantee a huge slice of balkan/klezmer cheese and never fail to get a knees-up going.

 

BONGO & THE SOUL JAR

6 piece pop/rock/funk/soul act making their Cool Beans debut. Fresh to the scene, we're looking forward to what these guys have got in store.

 

CARL "ON FIRE" WATKINS

The man, the brand, the myth, the legend. Guitar-player turned Father-and-guitar-player Carl "on fire" Watkins shall be kicking of proceedings with his very own brand of acoustic blues. Catch him at the bar later on.
