Bad_Hair_Day
Can anyone tell me where this nightclub was in the 70s / 80s ? thanks There was a little place called Gossips on the corner just down from Redgates, overlooking the roundabout. I think it's Eyre Street, don't think it was a nightclub though, just a late bar. Had lots of good nights in there!
Ousetunes
They didn't sell pints, only halves. I used to go there prior to Isabella's on a night out. I also played a couple of great gigs in Gossips although we were well and truly trumped by Boy On A Dolphin on one occasion.

Grappler
Was it the place that used to be called "Uriah Heeps" before that? And if I remember correctly, the doorman had a very handy reputation. ---------- Post added 14-01-2014 at 19:34 ---------- They didn't sell pints, only halves. We were a four piece group called The Rickies. All our guitarists played Rickenbacker guitars; I was the tub-thumper at the back. We had a sixties sound (and look). They were fun times indeed.
