How much is this car worth?

Recommended Posts

No, you don't. The Sales of Goods act does NOT apply to private sales.

The only protection you have is against fraud or misrepresentation, ie if they lie about it to you. But if they simply don't say or don't know, then it's tough.

yes it becomes a civil matter

even better if lied in ad etc

Why has it got a different stereo sat in the boot

No idea! Not really bothered anyway as he's got his own stereo to put in.

Ive its from an auction id leave it too.

If its got full checkable service history thats a bonus but id hpi it to death and make sure its not on the vcar. (vehicle condition alert register).

Could easily be a cat c or d thats been repaired.

It's got full service history and receipts for everything. I believe it belonged to an older person that has passed away.

Anyway some real advice.

If you're not in a rush to buy just hang on a while and see when the price gets cut if he cant shift it.

That's the trouble, we are in a rush! He's been without a car for almost a month now and he's been using mine which isn't ideal as I've been having to catch the bus to work or get a lift with my sister.

What would an older person have a car that colour and spec for?

Did the dealer tell you that?

Why wouldn't they?! My dads 60 and he loves this car, he'd have it himself if he was looking for a new car. No, the dealer didn't tell me.
