If i remember correctly teeny you work in Africa helping children? Are you a registered charity?

"decided to donate the sum of ONE MILLION POUNDS to you as part of our own charity".. which indicates they recognise you as a charity. As long as you are not asked to hand over thousands in transfer fees then follow it up. Or hand it to your solicitor to follow up.

In answer to your question, no I haven't received any such email.

So they just picked 20 people worldwide based on their email address - pretty reckless if they are going to give away big money!!! - plus surely don't you think its a bit dodgy how they got hold of your email in the first place if you don't know them?

The verification is not verification! This is a scam if you email back I bet they ask you for your a transfer fee to make the transfer!!

It's almost as if e-mail fraudsters aren't even trying anymore.

The problem with that logic is "cry woolf". Although it most likely is a scam there's also a possibility that 1 million is waiting for the taking. If you approach it with a view to it being a scam and it turns out genuine you've gained. Emailing back and saying **** *** parasites, could cost you.
