"decided to donate the sum of ONE MILLION POUNDS to you as part of our own charity".. which indicates they recognise you as a charity. As long as you are not asked to hand over thousands in transfer fees then follow it up. Or hand it to your solicitor to follow up. In answer to your question, no I haven't received any such email. Although it most likely is a scam there's also a possibility that 1 million is waiting for the taking. If you approach it with a view to it being a scam and it turns out genuine you've gained.
