chem1st
!8 months for mortgage fraud. I hope the experience does him some good but I doubt it. Is this because you understand the damage mortgage fraud does to law abiding people who are trying to put a roof over their head, and believe that mortgage fraud is an offence that people should be jailed for? Or for another reason? Can you imagine what would happen if they did actually start jailing everybody who has committed mortgage fraud. We'd solve the housing crisis due to the resulting prison building boom

Mikes10
Why do people find it so difficult when opening a topic on a news item to post a verifiable link? Tommy Robinson, former EDL leader, jailed for fraud: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-25862838

LeMaquis
Can you imagine what would happen if they did actually start jailing everybody who has committed mortgage fraud. Are you saying that the law should be changed and some cases of fraud should attract more lenient sentences because of your obsession with all matters housing? We'd solve the housing crisis due to the resulting prison building boom How would this solve your housing crisis? Surely it may even make it worse as we would have more people's houses being re-possesed and their assets stripped. These people would need a place to live after being released from prison for their non-violent crime.
Bob England
The strange thing about Tommy Robinson is that whilst I fundamentally disagree with him he has charisma. Highly watchable on TV with some interesting insights into how the British working class actually think. Underestimate him at your peril.
