Tjawienna Posted January 24, 2014 Share Posted January 24, 2014 There are many young men from Sheffield who have joined the Royal Navy. in 1914 first world war. many have from 1914- 1918 been interned in the camp TIMBERTOWN. ,IN Groningen, Holland. The father of my Mother, Harry Jackson, came from Sheffield.( Asley road) In March starts an exhibition from the English soldiers. with a book and c.d look."" Scheepvaartmuseum Groningen"" may be your (great)grandfather was one of them???? maybe.. you have some clothes from that time. a hat or something else? We want them with eagerness...
