Marx
Here's a clue, his Mummy bestowed the honour upon him. He now becomes a Field Marshal, Admiral of the Fleet and Marshal of the Royal Air Force. However it doesn't stop him from still being a prize ****. Waldo
Someone who keeps referring to himself as 'royal' ... as if that somehow makes him better than all the not-so-bright folk who concur with his self-assessment?
ivanava
Commander-in-chief is the person exercising supreme operational command and control of a nation's military forces, as the Queen is probably now unable to fulfill this role and Charles is taking over most of her responsibilities it stands to reason that he will need to out rank all serving personnel. The honorary promotions will incur no cost to the Ministry of Defence and will not have an impact on the promotion prospects of serving personnel or the honorary appointments of other Members of the Royal Family.
