JackK0 Posted January 28, 2014 Share Posted January 28, 2014 Hello I was talking to a old friend the other day and we were talking about what places were like years ago he said Anne Barbers Riding school was on Silverdale road and that there was a quarry on there and some fields and at the top of Silverdale Road now there was a gate you couldn't get down there it wasn't a road Does anyone remember the Quarry and the fields what was mined at the quarry and what was on the fields? We used to stop at the bottom then set of and gallop all the way to the top those horses sure knew their way home, couldn't stop them , very scary!!!
