Jim Hardie
Vaguely remember it, probably from my Dad telling me about it year after year. I think we only had 3 scorers that day, Finney, Fantham and Layne, but I might be wrong. One scored 3 and the other two scored 2. Keith Ellis got the hat-trick. scoobz
Stand corrected! My Dad always used to say that Ellis was useless. I guess he wasn't that day! Bronco Layne was set to become a great though I think until the bribery scandal.

soft ayperth
Anyone remember the FA Cup match in Feb 1961 ? ....Following a draw at Hillsborough ...The Owls were expected to lose the replay but the score was Man Utd 2 - The Owls 7 Wonder how many away teams have put 7 past Man Utd I went to it. An evening game. Ellis hat trick, but the star of the show was little Bobby Craig who ran rings around the Man U midfield and defence. I was in the middle of a bunch of MU fans who were marveling at his performance. Teenager Ronnie Briggs debut for MU in goal, I think. Happy times.
