Suicide Squad - 6/10 - Another wasted opportunity (slightly better than the dreadful Batman v Supes) a decent cast (Margot Robbie is great as Harley Quinn ) is wasted on a flimsy plot that all over the place and a dreadful villain.

Straight Outta Compton - 6/10 - Not good, not bad but not really my (G) thing.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe 7.5/10

I didn't expect this film to go the way it did as initially thought it was heading as a thriller.

Quick synopsis: father and son forensic team take a late victim, brought in who is found in a basement where police uncover a gruesome murder scene.

**caution** Don't watch this film while eating unless you have a strong stomach!

The Jungle Book (2016). Despite the awkward shoe-horning of a couple big show tunes this is not a cuddly remake of the 60s cartoon. The effects and overall visuals were brilliant but it was much darker in tone. The fight scene near the end bore a far greater resemblance to the fight bit in Predator than any kids film. Hard to score it, it disappointed me in some ways and, if this is the right word for a Disney film, challenged my preconceptions in others. Closer to the book perhaps? 7/10.

The 33 9/10

Fantastic film, great acting, made me quite emotional at the end (The wine may have contributed to that tho!)

I watched some of the rescue live on the news back in 2010, but never quite knew the full extent of it all.

Batmsn vs Superman, I'm not a gimpy blubbering nerd so I took it for face value and thought it was ok, 7/10.

You didn't find that it had to be massively contrived so that Batman and Superman both act like complete idiots and barely ever speak to each other?
