I'd seen it before but my husband who's from Barnsley had never watched the whole film before. Enjoyed it very much stellar cast good storyline and from our history. Got to be a 8/10 maybe even a 9/10.

Hugely entertaining but a bit odd, that combination of fun and laughs with extreme violence and butt sex

Trial by Fire   8/10

The true story of Cameron Todd Willingham, a Texas man  found guilty of murdering his 3 young children for the insurance money and sent to Death Row.
Im a big fan of Jack O'Connell anyway, but hes great in this, as are all the actors. Only slight complaint is its a bit longer than it needs to be.

If Hitler had won the war, the first person he would have shot was Arthur Askey. It was truly dire. So bad I had to watch it through to the end.

 

I can't stress enough how much you should avoid it. Beyond grim.

I used to like this film as a kid, its got a very atmospheric ghostly setting in the station waiting room but Askey is annoying as hell/

The Emperor of Paris - 7.5/10

 

Vincent Cassel stars as Vidocq, escaped convict who becomes the most feared policeman in Paris during the reign of Napoleon. Loosely based on the real life of Eugène-François Vidocq.

Extraction 7/10

 

Chris Hemsworth (from Thor) plays a mercenary who is asked to help get a kid (who happens to be the son of a jailed crime boss) out of Dhaka, who is chased by the city's current drug lord.

 

Some great action and cinematography from the Russo bros (producers).

Radioactive 

Marie Curie.

A little bit of a strange one, but saying that glad we watched it.

It does give an insight into what her and her Husband were doing.

There is intrigue throughout but it miss's something at the same time.

You would probably be better off giving it a miss and read about her on Wikipedia instead.

The Lodge   7.5/10

 

This was a really good film. 2 kids get snowed in with their future Step-Mum and strange things start happening.
It didn't go the way I expected at all, its clever, original, and well acted.


Pans Labyrinth   9/10

 

One of my favourites. Its an extraordinary film. Just stunning. Love it.


M.O.M Mothers of Monsters   7/10

 

Despite the awful title its actually a good film. 
A single Mum convinced that her teenage son is a psychopath and is heading for something terrible takes matters into her own hands.
Gripping with great performances from the main characters.
