Infinity Pool  6/10

 

It was ok. I think it tried a bit too hard to be abstract and wacky, but ended up being a bit pretentious.

I love Mia Goth but found her slightly annoying at times.

You can tell it’s a Cronenberg film, albeit Brandon not David.

The TV series of Luther had jumped the shark towards the end so it's not a real shock that this film version is quite silly but even so it's entertaining enough. Andy Serkis does a good job of being menacing while having the most ridiculous hairstyle which added 1 point to my score.

 

 

I agree,  the hairstyle was beyond ridiculous.

 

Prefer the series as think the movie looked rushed.

Yeah I think it would have benefited them to spend a bit more time establishing the villian as a threat. Frankly it all went a bit Bond halfway through.

It will be interesting to know if the book is better than the film.  I definitely think you will enjoy the film tho.
