...........whereas I'd read and been told how bad it was so my expectations weren't high and I put off seeing it.

Enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

The Rock managed the toned-down comedy really well. Played to his strengths.

At the end of the day it isn't aimed at adults. The non-adults I watched it with, my grandkids, loved it.

I don't know if I can be bothered to see it again, but at least I gave it the courtesy of viewing it all the way to the end to form an opinion. Even the Superman bit.

It's a respectful 6/10

I didnt give my opinion

Probably just as well.

Anyway, moving on, anyone seen the 'Barbie' film yet?

That's anything but a kids film. Took my 6 year old g-daughter and she was bemused within the first 3 minutes. Well, she would be. It was a spoof of 2001: A Space Odyssey.  She was fidgety and bored after half an hour. Most teens would struggle to grasp the sexual politics involved.  I like what they tried to do, but unsure if they achieved their goals. Maybe they did. Ask a woman who has seen it. It lifted a few rocks, but not enough to change anyone's long-term views of the opposite sex.

I'll give it a 7 for the concept and bang that up to a 9 as it contains, in Margot Robbie, the most beautiful woman on the planet.

'Greed' starring Steve Coogan and David Mitchell. 9/10

Satirical comedy/drama about a retail billionaire with a pet Lion, preparing a big party bash for his 60th birthday.

Funny, and contributing a well made point about excess. This is how you get the message across.

Good watch.

Did you ever watch the true story of Christian the pet lion,

Two guys bought a pet loin from Harrods, wish they'd repeat it, it was amazing.

Do you mean the one where at the end the two guys return to Africa and are greeted by their delighted old lion pet and her family?

It's just lovely, and I'd love to see it again...

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 (6/10)

It's lost the gritty essence of the other movies and I found it a bit cheesy

I'm tapping out of super hero movies now

Can't stand another one

Loved the first one, liked the second one, hoping third one is good.
