swanny
I'd like to go walking at the weekends. Are there any Forum members that can recommend any groups eg Sheffield Ramblers?

spinac
Hi swanny, I run a sports and social group and we usually go walking once every 2 weeks - we next go out on Sun 26th March from Miller's Dale to Dale Head - about 6 miles in 3 hours. Age range from 35. We're also going to Whitby over the Easter weekend - bunkhouse or B&B still available. No membership required - small contribution to club funds for each walk (£2). Sample pics from 2 weeks ago: http://www.spinac.com/Images/Events/060226-11.jpg & http://www.spinac.com/Images/Events/060225-1.jpg We called off yesterdays walk as forecast was snow, cloudbase 200m and windchill down to -18C. I checked it out personally and it was nowhere near as bad as that but you can't take a risk with a group. PM me if interested or register online at http://www.spinac.com/SignIn.aspx - click on New Members at the top of the page.
swanny
Spinac, thanks for the info. I've just been on the website and it looks great, lots of variety to suit all tastes. I could well be joining up in the near future! Regards
