£6billion written off by government in 2012-13

Recommended Posts

It is disgraceful but we seem to have become immune to things like this.

We also apparently live in a 'rich country,' in which 'money is no object.' Yet we cannot afford to help the poor, and services are constantly under threat through lack of funding.

In just about every area, we seem to be surrounded by incompetence, yet these are the people charging us millions in top salaries because apparently, 'we have to pay to attract the best people.'

If these are the best, God help us...

According to a report from the National Audit Office the government was owed £22billion at 31 March 2013.

A further £6billion was written off or not pursued.

Thats an awful lot of doctors, nurses, libraries, home helps, lollipop ladies and flood defences that could have been paid for instead.

why aren't you out there collecting it?

A mere drop in the ocean.

True level of UK government debt exceeds £5 trillion

A rich country that is trillions of pounds in debt. How exactly does that work then?

You tell me. Politicians always seem to have the money when it suits them, and yet claim poverty when it doesn't. And as I've said before, is the debt even real? Who do we owe it to? Do we owe it to the same bankers we are still bailing out to the tune of billions?
