Karis
I'm going to Carwood Road Chesterfield S41 9QB to visit a company this morning and Travel Line has said catch the 43 or the 44 and there's a 20 minutes walk. But is there anything that is more direct? There's a 44a but it doesn't seem to stop anywhere near here. If I do get the 43, where do I get off? It's not clear on the map on the timetable. nikki-red
Going from the postcode alone and obviously not the exact location, Travel South Yorkshire says the 44a from Arundel Gate stops a 3 minute walk away?
Andy C
Traveline is unhelpful when you cross the county boundary - try http://www.transportdirect.info for journey planning. Also you will find a Chesterfield network map at http://www.stagecoachbus.com/chesterfield. Usually the best Sheffield-Chesterfield bus is the X17 express. Looking where you are going, it is on the Sheepbridge Industrial Estate which is served by bus 44A (Coal Aston-Dronfield-Sheepbridge-Whittington Moor-Chesterfield). The journey is likely to be the X17 to Whittington Moor to connect with the 44A back to Sheepbridge or alternatively a 43/44 to Dronfield Hallowes (Three Tuns pub) and change onto the 44A there. ---------- Post added 18-02-2014 at 12:40 ---------- Chesterfield area bus map: http://www.stagecoachbus.com/uploads/chesterfieldmapoct13web.pdf Timetable for 43/43A/44/44A: http://www.stagecoachbus.com/pdfs/XUAO044A.pdf
