swordfish1
Only just seen this. How did you get on? My mate got refused entry for wearing trainers at a few bars last Saturday.
Asturcelt
Trainers in City center pubs, what stupidity. A gentleman wearing trainers, not welcome An idiot wearing shoes, welcome. They should change this none sense rule. Opinions?????

Unitedite
I only ever wear a t-shirt, jeans and converse in town (perhaps a jumper at the moment...) and I've only been turned away because of what I was wearing once - from West Street Live because I was wearing a Lacoste shirt, which I thought was pretty strange. Given the extent of the student population in Sheffield if they started banning trainers most bars would go out of business.
gluedtopc
Why not wear a decent suit, tie and a pair of decent shoes? It will cost you less than £100 and you will look better than a generic Student.

JFKvsNixon
I have my own trainer policy. If a bar or pub doesn't let me in wearing trainers, I'm more than happy to spend my money elsewhere.
gluedtopc
No problemo How odd ! ...[/quote Why is it odd to look smart on a night out instead of wearing a grotty T shirt and stinky "trainers" ?
