superherolin
I will start a job travel from Sheffield station by train every day. Will leave car near station from 7am to 7pm. Does anyone knows any car park near station? I had a quotation from Q-park, the annual pass is still very expensive. Also, considering park and ride. Is park and ride, for example, 4.5 for a day, it's just for parking or parking and one day tram pass? Thank you very much!
Moosey
You can park on the road near McDonald's at Farm Road for free and walk in about 5 mins to the station. Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android ---------- Post added 23-02-2014 at 20:09 ---------- Or if you want an actual car park G Casino charge about 3quid a day. Park & Ride at Halfway, Nunnery Square or Middlewood tram stops is £4.50 for a day ticket, that includes car parking and a days unlimited tram travel. Weekly, monthly and quarterly passes are also available. All tickets are sold by the self service ticket machine in the car park and credit cards are accepted. For more info see: http://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/parkandridesheffield/ There are free car parks at Meadowhall Interchange and Valley Centertainment tram stops where you just buy a normal tram ticket but these car parks tend to be oversubscribed. ---------- Post added 24-02-2014 at 11:30 ---------- One other thing - where are you travelling by train to? Railway stations at Meadowhall, Dore and Dronfield offer free car parking for rail passengers and you could possibly get a local train from those stations to connect with the train you catch to work. Also if you are using the tram to connect with trains at Meadowhall or Sheffield ask about tram travel when you buy your train season ticket. If you train journey is within South Yorkshire you can get a Railmaster pass valid on all trains and trams in South Yorkshire, if travel is to somewhere outside of South Yorkshire you can pay a little extra on top of the season ticket price to add on tram travel. jamesogt
Thank you very much! Or join G Casino, go in every morning and have a Muffin and coffee. And as a customer leave your car all day (Car needs registering inside each day)

daveyt2
It is a few years since I worked in the City centre, but I used to park on Talbot Road near Duke Street Medical Centre. It was free and only a short walk down to the station, a bit of a climb coming back though.

Andy C
The train to Stockport calls at Dore station in the morning and the majority coming back in the evening do too. There is a free car park at Dore station if you fancy the drive via Gleadless/Bradway - I wouldn't think the traffic should be too bad at 7am! Alternatively if you park at Halfway tram terminus the Park & Ride ticket is £4.50 per day, £18 per week or £60.50 per month. Buy from the car park machine. You would realistically need to be on the tram departing Halfway at 06:37. If you did without the parking element a Stagecoach bus & tram pass, valid on the tram and all the Stagecoach buses in Sheffield (from Halfway there is the 71 bus which goes the fast route via Mosborough and Birley Moor or there is the slower but more frequent 120 bus which goes via Crystal Peaks and Hackenthorpe) is £4 per day, £13.50 per week or £46 per month. A tram only pass can be added on to your rail ticket for £2.70 a day or £11 per week. The rail ticket add on is sold at Sheffield station ticket office, the daily/weekly tickets are sold by bus drivers and tram conductors, the monthly ticket is sold online.
