Is it 'rayt', reight' or 'rait'. Or any other way? Or is it just the way we say it and we spell it 'right'. Opines please. S

megalithic
Thank you megalithic. Is na den Barnsley? All in the name of research. S As a common Sheffielder of 43 years, born and bred, i find it varies, even from estate to estate. Any attempt to pigeon hole is wholly and totally futile. Manlinose
presumably, how you spell it depends on how you pronounce it - for me it rhymes with the number 8 so i'd spell it reight if i was writing (or should that be wreighting) it phonetically
angel22
Surely nobody actually spells it the same way they pronounce it?! Even if you pronounce it as 'reyt', the correct spelling is still 'right'?
