old tup Posted March 15, 2014 Share Posted March 15, 2014 When I knocked around the city centre pubs with my mates in the 60s onwards all the girls we met and knew were all labelled with nicknames,which they never knew about!.It only took a slight imperfection to achieve this for example one lass we used to meet had a slight hooked nose,she was known as "budgie"another used to do her hair up making her head look huge,this one was called "lioness".One of the lads was knocking a bird off as tall as him and well built with it her name was "The hod carrier",another wench of our aquaintence had a bad black hole in a tooth she was "Domino Lil" and so on,all these years on I can,t remember their proper names only the nicknames we gave them!.I wonder if anyone else did this sort of thing or was it just my daft pals and me?.
