taxman
Some nice headline grabbers today, beer duty down and escalator scrapped, ISA limit increased to £15k a year, and tax thresholds increased as we already knew. Anyone singing from the rooftops over today's announcements or likewise anyone crying into their cheaper beer?

metalman
Sounds like the same old incoherent ranting from Ed Miliband in response. However much he says 'Same old Tories', it sounds like 'Same old Labour' to me.

Uptowngirl
Have they? How have things got better? Lets think. Unemployment down. Highest level of employment EVER. Deficit down Growth up Crime down huge increase in motor manufacturing for export. Perhaps you missed it whilst you were reading the Beano. ---------- Post added 19-03-2014 at 14:17 ---------- She takes copius amounts of Prozac and alcohol If that was true perhaps you should try it as you seem oblivious to reality. Clown Shoes
£200m to fix potholes just means that companies like Amey will just charge double to dig a hole then fill it in 3 weeks later. It will not mean more holes to be filled. And councils will pay it.
Funky_Gibbon
Sounds like the same old incoherent ranting from Ed Miliband in response. However much he says 'Same old Tories', it sounds like 'Same old Labour' to me. Osborne broke the tradition of giving the opposition a pre-Budget briefing just so Labour wouldn't have any time to prepare anything detailed in response. Playing election games already...
