biker Posted March 20, 2014 Share Posted March 20, 2014 What was the name of the hospital and where was it that did my tonsils operation in 1957/8 in Sheffield.I remember the ward had a big dolls house and the ice cream after and the struggle that the nurse had giving me the knock out pill.One nurse had a pot on her leg and one nurse had a pot on her arm.Not my fault honest!! TheDrib Posted March 20, 2014 Share Posted March 20, 2014 Yes, I remember it as the Infirmary. For me it was probably 1951/52 - I was 6 or 7. I distinctly remember the gauze mask they put on your face, then the sprinkling of the 'ether', and then waking up on a mattress on the floor with what seemed like 2,000 other young kids.
