Griffly Posted March 25, 2014 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Adrian Bower Band - Released in July 2010, Sundays Child is the debut release of the Adrian Bower Band, and sees a return to original material for Adrian in 25 years, after appearing for other artists as well as being in demand on his local covers/tribute circuit. First appearing in the mid 80's heavy metal band, Scrawm, who had seminal underground success with their demo Demented Genius, he never stopped writing although his performances were primarily as a guitar-for-hire for other bands. Now in the 21st century, we see him with a more matured approach, veering more towards blues rock, but still keeping that edge that those who know his work will recognise. Along side him, he has got together a band whose collective experience in the music scene many bands would give their teeth for. Simon Clark on drums, who's early days saw him in punk bands where he learned his craft to keep a solid beat for the rest to build a platform on. He's also has been much sought after in the local music scene. Completing the line-up is Notts bassist Andrew Clarkson, who also has a wealth of experience behind him. He's worked with Adrian in the past in the Iron Maiden tribute Powerslave UK, and his playing style complements the main body of the songs, while at the same time providing a strong foundation to the more intricate pieces. Black Vines - Black Vines: are a dirty electro blues riff mish-mash grunge punk band based in Barnsley South Yorkshire.
