cardoor
There was documentary about him and a British lad on Channel 4 a while back. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/dont-look-down ---------- Post added 29-03-2014 at 14:39 ---------- It must have warped the minds of Mohawk Indians as well. http://history.scout.com/articles/articletype/articleview/articleid/296/the-mohawks-who-built-manhattan Thanks Stan looks very interesting but can only watch 2 clips on C4 and snippets on youtube, don't suppose you know where I can watch the full documentary? Zamo
For some reason makes me feel nauseous watching it. Got balls I must say That is exactly how I felt. Must be something to do with getting older and having kids... the reckless youth suddenly realises he might just be mortal after all!

If the above isn't insane and freaky enough, the Russian kid achieving this ascent is just incomprehensible
skinz
The words that spring to mind are confident, athletic, talented, amazing. Non of what they do is particularly unique to their age range..thousands of kids have the same talents. "confident, athletic, talented, amazing" What they have which differs from the thousands of other kids is the ability to ignore or overcome fear. That isn't talent, it's a psychological condition. I'd probably go as far as to say their actions are mirrored by their inability to understand emotional distress. Mostly kids are pretty good at risk assessment and on the whole emotionally capable...probably why most kids don't do pull-ups at 400ft untethered. If what they do is done at a height of 4 foot it would be no doubt less amazing, but confidence, athleticism, talent would still equally apply. ---------- Post added 01-04-2014 at 12:31 ---------- That is exactly how I felt. alchresearch
I used to crane climb some years back. It was a great buzz and seeing a city from such a high vantage point was brilliant, and a great photo op.
