wornout53
My mum died 20 years ago and I think about her often. I was so proud when one of my daughters said I was just like her nanan had been.
Moonbird
My Mum has been gone just 3 years, there is not a day that I don't think about her and miss her, I always knew that she was my best friend but now I know it more than ever...there is never anyone like your Mum, for those that still have them treasure them. Mr Bloom
It's lovely to read this thread. Well done wornout 53. ---------- Post added 31-03-2014 at 08:45 ---------- My Mum died in 1980, and I still find today a difficult day. Even after all these years I walk swiftly past all the cards for Mothering Sunday. That's very sad. I do know people who still buy a card for their lost loved ones, anyway. I hope one day soon you will be able to walk past the cards, stop for a moment and smile because you will always love her and carry her with you in your heart. salsafan
I called my mom too. I also wished my sister her second mother's day in her life time. I think one can never truly appreciate one's parent until we are older and wiser. I do miss and appreciate my mother's effort when I was growing up. I understand now.
