St Petre
brought back memories this.....also does anyone remember a shop called 'Lift up your skirts and fly' where the Peace Gardens are now... That shop was near the junction of Howard Street and Union Street facing the Town Hall and run by Roger Howe.
solar energy
I loved trying the clothes on there. I would try them on for a hour and buy bundles. I loved the shop, but I did get strange looks when I asked for 34" jeans. And when I asked for the men's toilet
Daven
The Chelsea Girl I remember was on Fargate. I worked there from 1980. Loved it Was that the one with the communal changing room full of mirrors at the back of the shop with swing doors ? Guys used to stand outside and get a good look every time the doors opened ?
