PeteMorris
But the sentences are to run concurrently....Which effectively means he's scott free on the firearms offence, unless he shoots someone while in jail ......
nikki-red
Apparently he'll only actually serve 10 months in prison (in the hospital wing) then the rest under house arrest. Edited October 21, 2014 by nikki-red
PeteMorris
Apparently he'll only actually serve 10 months in prison (in the hospital wing) then the rest under house arrest. I suspected that might be the case....It beggars belief really!
Mr Bloom
Apparently he'll only actually serve 10 months in prison (in the hospital wing) then the rest under house arrest. Where did you get that information from? The expert on SKY says he'll serve at least 2 and a half years of that sentence in prison. I think 2 and a half years is not appropriate. Mr Bloom
Lets face it...He's actually got away with 'murder'...Literally! It seems that way to me. The way the judge seemed to accept the weak arguments of the defence and dismissed vital evidence from strong, reliable prosecution witnesses was disgraceful. ---------- Post added 21-10-2014 at 10:10 ---------- His defense lawyers said hes expected to serve 1/6 of his sentence in prison. That's disgraceful and an absolute travesty. No wonder Roux is smiling from ear to ear. I thought he was disappointing in court too.
PeteMorris
What the hell was all the waffling for from the judge?....Trying to justify a crap decision?
Mr Bloom
I hope the prosecutor's office successfully appeal the conviction.
PeteMorris
I hope the prosecutor's office successfully appeal the conviction. I expect that would mean going through the whole circus again....probably with a very similar outcome....Money will buy 'anything' in South Africa....
