Blue Badge misuse at hospital visits

Recommended Posts

No partners cant have a badge./ Only the diabled person can have one and it has there photo in it. This is the problem partners are using the car for there own use./ example going to hospitals and parking when there partner is in hospital:help:

Partners can use the blue badge if they are transporting the owner of the blue badge.

OK, but do you accept that it may be appropriate for the parter of family member of a blue badge owner to use it to transport them to and from hospital. So the person who you accused of being a troll may well have been correctly using the blue badge.

But you do not know how much help his wife needs? So how can you recommend what the person in question could do?

Why do people visiting N.G.H. think they can use there relatiives blue badge who is in hospital ill. I heard some one who was visiting say it took her half an hour to park even though she was using her dads blue badge. If you go to any hospital you can see them park in a disabled bay and walk away and its obvious

they are not disabled. I think the parking wardens started doing there job and report them.:rant:

How do you know they`re not disabled, just because it`s not obvious. What about heart and lung conditions, and other hidden disabilities. Also, if the owner of the blue badge is being transported in the car, then their blue badge can be used

Are you trolling ,/ He parks his car right outside main entrance gets out helps her inside and sits her down . Goes park car comes back to her straight away 100 percent help given. Or sits outside with her in car waiting for an hour to get parked. :loopy::loopy::loopy:

There's no trolling involved. It's a perfectly valid use of the badge to pull up as a healthy partner/parent/carer/friend then go inside to collect the owner of the badge, and sometimes it's vital to be able to do that because of the sort of help that the owner of the badge may need.

Monkey104 did not say that he parked for hours in a bay outside the hospital doors, he said that he pulled up outside the hospital to pick up his wife, which could be for merely a few minutes.

The answer is simple the blue badge should have the photo of wno it belongs to on the top face up. Why you have a photo of the owner face down is beyond me. :loopy::loopy:

I don't agree. it's a good idea in principle, but on the downside, if the person's photo is on the front, that would give the scummers a heads-up, on who to target as a vulnerable person.

Would a disabled person really want to advertise that they are vulnerable any more than is absolutely necessary?
