babsie
Just wondered - anyone else at the Jimi Hendrix concert at Sheffield City Hall in the 60's. Still one of the best I have ever been to and I remember it like it was yesterday.

babsie
There was a band who supported from Leeds called the Outer Limits. I am still in contact with their lead singer Jeff Christie,(remember Yellow River)! He is still writing and gigging in Germany. It was a good time!!! annie53
I was at that concert it was awesome. Remember fighting over a Union Jack flag at the stage door. Jimi had it around his shoulders during the show. Only managed to get a chunk which my mum threw away years later. Happy days.
melv
I couldn't afford to go and my father wouldn't lend me the money to watch 'jungle music '. Still gutted after all these years :-(

Ontarian1981
Never saw them live, but from footage I have seen and heard the Jiml Hendrix Experience was one of the best 3 piece rock bands ever. Jimi gets all the credit but those two English guys gave him a terrific backing sound on stage, much like Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker of Cream. choogling
Never saw jimi live but saw all the available film segments ,videos and later on dvds ,I bought his album" are you experienced " in 1967 and the two singles hey Joe and the wind cries Mary. Jimi was a breath of fresh air with his own style of a mixture of rock, pop and the blues, playing lead and rhythm guitar at the same time with the help of Mitchel and Redding on drums and bass. He was only around for three years but his music will never be forgotten and is never far from my cd player I recently bought the Hendrix plays the blues album with material I have never heard, i will have fire played at my cremation. Nankypoo
About £0.50 p for The Move, Amen Corner, The Nice, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix, on one bill. Not bad value.
