Ghozer
My bed is about to collapse, i'm sure... It's been getting worse and worse, I have tightened it up but the hooks on the ends of the side pieces are only 50% held on (the rest has split) It's an old metal bed frame, and it wasn't 100% when I got it, and it's got much worse.. I can't afford a new bed base, so has anyone got any suggestions of how to fix it? or alternatives?

Double... it's not the supporting lats I need, it's where the sides fasten to the head and foot, it's just like a couple of hooks, one on each end of each side peace, and the hook bit is splitting.. :S
megalithic
Could you not drill through and bolt it ?
Vaati
You may find a frame for free in the give away section? Or freecycle?

aliceBB
Savour the authentic student experience by chucking the bed frame out in the front garden and sleeping on the mattress on the floor.

Marx
I used a jubilee clip on mine when I lost the screw. Could you drill underneath the rail to support it and keep it in place with a jubilee clip?
